Swiss Exams – Authorised Cambridge English Platinum Centre now encourages candidates to bring their mobile phones to all Cambridge English exams.
For obvious reasons, mobile phones are indispensable nowadays for candidates, not least to either call the Swiss Exams Help Desk on their way to the exam or to navigate to the exam location, to mention only a few. Swiss Exams has introduced so called “Dead Zone Bags”. These bags allow students to place their phone in the Dead-Zone Bag during their exam. The bag, which looks more like a wallet, will make sure that the phone cannot be electronically accessed by any external device or communication mode.
After a detailed investigation into the possibility of collecting mobile phones and other electronic devices during the exam, we came to the conclusion that this is very problematic from a legal and financial perspective. If we were to collect these devices, not only would we then be responsible for the device itself and the replacement cost, we would also be responsible for the data stored on these devices, which can be extremely sensitive, considering the kind the data stored these days.
Hence, with our new innovative and exclusive Swiss Exams solution, we can encourage candidates to bring their phones to the exam, while they can stay in possession of their device. Under no circumstances should candidates be forced to hand over their mobile phones or smart-watches, etc.
So please tell your students, at Cambridge Exams run by Swiss Exams, they can bring along their phones.
