I am not scheduled with my requested interview partner and have the exam this Saturday. Can you please put us together?
In order to ensure that candidates can take the speaking exam with the requested partner, the following criteria have to be fulfilled:
registered for the same exam (computer-based/paper-based, AM/PM, Location) on the same speaking test date
both candidates must pay before the regular payment deadline
both candidates need to request each other (enter the names on registration)
the names need to match (no misspelling)
If a candidate does not have a speaking test partner, the fields can be left empty and these candidates will be paired with another candidate.
If, however, you have already received your Entry Statements, no changes can be made.

Can I cancel my exam?
With the FLEX Package, changes and cancellations are only possible before the registration deadline.
If you cannot attend the exam, we will not be able to refund the exam fee or offer you another date.
Please request cancellations in writing via email and we will send you a confirmation.
A cancellation fee of CHF 50.00 will apply. The remainder of the exam fee will be refunded once you complete the refund form online.
With the BASIC Package, changes and cancellations are not possible.
I registered twice and once for the wrong exam. Can you cancel one of the registrations?
With the Basic Package changes or refunds after registration are not possible.
With the Flex Package cancellations are only possible before the registration deadline. If your exam fee invoice has already been paid, you will be charged a cancellation fee of CHF 50.00. The remainder of the exam fee will be refunded once you complete the refund form that will be sent to you by Customer Service.

I cannot attend my exam due to work reasons. Can I cancel?
Changes and cancellations, with the FLEX Option, are only possible before the registration deadline. Please note that if you cannot attend your exam as planned, we can no longer provide a refund of the exam fee or postpone your exam date to a new one.
You will not be able to benefit from the Exam Retake Option if you are cancelling for personal, family or work commitments. Candidates are only entitled to retake the exam for free with this option if any of the following incidences occur:
I missed my speaking exam last Saturday. Can I still go to the written exam next week?
You may still attend one part of the exam. Please be aware this will help as a practice run.
You will not receive any results if you do not complete both parts (written & speaking).
Can I have a look at my exam papers so that I can check what went wrong?
Please note that you will not have access to your exam papers at any time. This is due to the privacy and security laws put into place by Cambridge UK.
I didn't pass my exam / I was sick on the exam day. Can I repeat the exam?
If you selected the retake option when you registered, you may be able to retake the exam. Please check the Terms and Conditions.
If you did not pay for the Exam Retake Option, you cannot re-sit the exam from free. If you would like to re-sit the exam, you would have to pay the full exam fees again.
I forgot to mention my speaking partner when I registered, can you still add one?
This is only possible if the Entry Statement for the exam has not already been sent out. If this is the case please send us an email with the name of your speaking partner and we will record this information on your registration.
Please note that we can only schedule you together if you have both registered for the same exam level, exam dates (both written and oral) and exam centre.
In addition, please note that both speaking partners need to pay the exam fee on time.
If all the above conditions are adhered to, we should be able to accommodate your request.
I have a specific physical or learning difficulty. Can I take a Cambridge English exam?
We have a number of ways to help people taking our exams who have special requirements, such as:
hearing or speaking difficulties
We can provide a range of modified materials if you have special requirements.
Please mention your condition in the comment section, when registering for the exam. You will then be contacted directly by a member of our staff.
Exam Retake Option
Could you please send me the Exam Retake Option code?
Proof of incidents needs to reach our office within 10 days of the incident (e.g. doctor’s certificate, police report, TCS report, disruption report from SBB, death certificate).
Afterwards, we will send you a code with which you will be able to register for a new exam date on our website. You will then be able to retake your exam within 12 months free of charge.
How can I benefit from the Exam Retake Option I paid for?
To benefit from this option we would kindly ask you to send us your Statement of Results ( failed by 3 or less point) or medical statement (sick).
Please note that we will then send you a code with which you will be able to register again. However, you will only be able to register for exam where the registration deadline has not passed yet.
I forgot to add the Exam Retake Option when I registered. Can I still do that now?
The Exam Retake Option needs to be selected by candidates during the registration process.
It is not possible to add on this option manually after a registration has been made.
We strongly recommend students to take advantage of this option. We know from experience that this solution will avoid disappointment and frustration for students, parents, teachers and schools alike, and this for a relatively small fee.
Why have I not received my Entry Statement 10 days before the exam?
Have you checked your spam and junk folders? Is the email address you registered with correct? Have you paid the exam fees on time?
Please consider all of these options before you contact us.
You resent my Entry Statement but I did not receive it. How can that be?
Your email account may be blocking our system generated emails. Do you have any other email address we could send it to?

As soon as your result is available, you will receive an email from Cambridge Assessment English.
When will my results be available?
Results for Cambridge English exams are released as quickly as possible within a period of time known as a results release window. All results are released as soon as they are ready, which is why some candidates may receive their results before others.
Results release windows for paper-based exams normally start around four to five weeks after the exam date. Results release windows for computer-based exams normally start about two weeks after the exam.
Before your exam, you will receive a Confirmation of Entry document, telling you the final date by which your results will be available. If you have not received your results by this date, please contact your centre who will be able to assist you.
Where can I find the ID number and Secret number to check my results?
Within 10 (working) days of the exam all candidates receive an "Online Result Letter" by e-mail with further details on how to access your results. The Online Result Letter includes the following details:
Release date of your exam result
Detailed instructions and login details to access your result
Please note that our centre does not send out any results to candidates. All candidates have to check their exam result on the Cambridge English results website themselves.
Can you send me my Statement of Results? I cannot login to see my results online.
If you did not take your exam with our Cambridge English Exam Centre we will not have access to your results.
I lost my certificate what can I do?
It is Cambridge Assessment English's policy not to issue duplicate certificates when the original has been lost. However, Cambridge provides a Certifying Statement of Results for candidates in accordance with the conditions specified on the application form.
A certifying statement is a document which is accepted by universities and other institutions as proof of the examination result. Certifying statements requested by third parties must have written permission from the candidate. These can be sent, either directly to the candidate or to any public institution.
There is a fee for a Certifying Statement of Results. Payments can be made by cheque or credit card (Visa or Mastercard). It is not possible to pay with American Express or Diners Club. The online forms will ask for all mandatory fields to be completed and will automatically calculate the appropriate fee required. When the form has been submitted, the applicant will receive a confirmation that their application form has been received including a unique reference number.
If you need to provide any details or cheque payments via post, please send to the following address with your unique reference number clearly written on the back of the cheque and documents provided.

I was not able to pick up my certificate and it was returned to you. What can I do now?
To receive your certificate you have the following two options:
You can pick up your certificate at our office in Winterthur with your ID (free of charge)
We can resend your certificate by registered post (CHF 20.00 to be paid in advance by invoice)
The opening hours of our office are from Monday to Friday, 9am to 12pm and 2pm to 5pm. It is also possible to pick it up earlier in the morning, over lunch time or later in the evening but please inform us beforehand. If you prefer to have it sent by post again, please let us know by email.
Unfortunately, we are NOT allowed to send the certificate by normal post. You can send us an alternative address e.g. company, if you wish so.
