Who we are:
“Swiss Exams – Authorised Cambridge English Platinum Centre”, formerly known as the “Cambridge English Exam Centre Winterthur”. We see ourselves as experts in “Exam Management”. www.swiss-exams.ch. Swiss Exams is owned by Lori and Pete Kaithan, mother and son. Lori founded the organisation in 1989 and Pete joined in 2003. Both, Lori and Pete, were awarded the medal of “Outstanding Contribution to Cambridge English Language Assessment” at the 100 year celebrations in 2013 in Cambridge.
Where we operate and why:
Swiss Exams presently runs Cambridge English exams in all major cities in German-speaking Switzerland which include Zurich, Winterthur, Chur, Berne, Basel, Lucerne and St.Gallen. In an effort to allow centres like ours to expand their operations and focus on “less-developed” regions across the country, Cambridge English Language Assessment has gradually withdrawn the regional boundaries for centres in Switzerland in recent years.
Why are we different?
Swiss Exams has officially been awarded by Cambridge English Language Assessment for various platinum awards in recent years, among them for “Outstanding Service to Customers”. With these awards, Cambridge English Language Assessment has confirmed that our candidates, schools and teachers receive an unmatched level of service and quality. Cambridge Centres decide independently on the level of service they want to offer to their clients!
What is our aim?
Based on our principle of “Quality”, “Reliability” and “Accessibility” we aim to offer a quality exam journey and excellent candidate experience during the entire process. Furthermore, our emphasis is on reliability when talking about exam dates taking place or in the way we deal with cases and enquiries. Last but not least, “Accessibility” is key for candidates. For example, we provide a 24/7 HelpDesk. Candidates have access to over 200 reliable exam dates with fair distances to the available exam venues across Switzerland.

Swiss Exams has developed various unique services over the years. Among them is the “genuine” Swiss Exams 1 Year Exam Retake Option, which covers a lot more than only candidates who fail the exam with 3 points or less! Other services include special pricing options, exam day reminder e-mails, choice of speaking test partners which are automatically timetabled, FREE high-quality teacher seminars, etc.

Swiss Exams is the leader in Computer-based (CB) testing based on number of candidates tested in the last 10 years in Switzerland. Schools can rely on our expertise and also reserve our CB labs for their candidates on their preferred date in Zurich, Winterthur, Chur, Basel, Berne, Lucerne and St. Gallen.
