Exam Retake Option

What is the Swiss Exams "Exam Retake Option" for Cambridge English exams?

Every year, there are candidates who fail to complete their exam due to being ill, an accident or a public transportation failure etc. Also, there are candidates who fail by only 3 points or less, because they may have had a bad day for various reasons. If you choose this option for a fee of CHF 20.00 and one of these incidents occurs, you can retake your exam for free within the next 12 months. This prevents you from having to pay the exam fee twice. Information for teachers:

As Cambridge English exams have gained high recognition in Switzerland and in many cases are now accepted as final school-leaving exams or entry to higher education institutions and companies, the Cambridge English exams are high-stake exams and really matter to candidates.

We strongly recommend teachers to encourage their students to take advantage of this option. We know from experience that this solution will avoid disappointment and frustration for students, parents, teachers and schools alike, and this for a relatively small fee.
