
We have a number of ways to help people taking our exams who have special requirements/needs such as:
- visual difficulties
- hearing or speaking difficulties
- learning difficulties.
What special arrangements can I ask for?
There are lots of different options. Please find the most common Special Arrangements below:
- visual difficulties:
- Enlarged question papers
- Extra time
- Special versions of Listening tests
- Braille question papers
- hearing or speaking difficulties:
- Headphones à please register for a computer-based exam
- Lip-reading version of Listening tests
- Extra time for Speaking tests
- Take the Speaking test with a partner who is not a candidate
- Take the Speaking test without a partner (not available for BEC exams)
- learning difficulties (e.g.dyslexia):
- Extra time
How to apply for Special Arrangements
Please inform us soon as possible should you have any special requirements. Applications will need to be received 12 weeks before the examination. In order to hand in a request for special arrangements a medical statement and the full payment by the registration deadline is needed. The medical statement cannot be older than 2 years.
